Cyclone Instructors
John Ulrich - John founded The Cyclones in 2003, originally called the New Windsor Cyclones which was made up of players from the New Windsor NY area that John coached as Little League All -Stars. From there, in 2006 one team turned into twelve teams and over 130 players. TSC is now the largest competitive baseball program in the Hudson Valley

Coach Ulrich moved to the area permanently in the late 80's after growing up in Whitestone Queens NY. 
Coach Ulrich played high school baseball at John Bowne H.S. in Flushing Queens earning the starting varsity 
middle infielder position as a 9th grade freshman. After his freshman season he was moved to the starting catchers role.

Playing at John Bowne along side future Major League players such as Heathcliff Slocumb (Mets) and Gary Scott (Cubs) and others like Christ The King's Steve Karsay (Blue Jays) & Allan Watson (Cardinals).

Coach Ulrich earned his High Schools Player of the Year honors. He also was awarded NYC's Pride Of the Yankees Award, presented to the top high school freshman for athletic and academic excellence.

After graduating Coach Ulrich played for various in leagues earning an independent tryout with a major league franchise. He has also coached at the Junior Varsity and Varsity High School levels.

After his son's were born Coach Ulrich's desire and passion for the game was directed to teaching young athletes the game of baseball. Coach Ulrich has managed the regionally recognized 15u Cyclones earning 14 Championships and numerous placings (league & tournament). Coach Ulrich still coaches various teams within the Cyclones organization and is a member of the New York State Baseball Coaches Association.

He currently resides in New Windsor and works in the city of New York for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters as a Business Agent / Director of Organizing & Education while also serving as a Vice President for The Hudson Valley Labor Federation representing 130,000 hard working union men and women.

2010 Cyclone/Giant Tryouts Minimize

Tri State Cyclones/Giants Tryouts 

The Tri State Cyclones/ New York Giants Inc. the largest competitive 
baseball program in the Hudson Valley will be conducting try outs 
for their 2010 Spring & Summer teams every Saturday at 
Stewart Gym in New Windsor from 4pm to 8pm. We have age groups 
from 8u - 17u. Player must be a serious candidate willing to put in the effort.
